Jhankriti

Jhankriti was a vibrant celebration of India's rich artistic heritage, specifically focusing on classical art forms. It aimed to spark a passion within young artists. By providing a platform for them to perform and interact with renowned maestros, the event hoped to inspire the next generation to pursue and excel in these classical arts.

This vision resonated deeply with me, and I was entrusted with the crucial task of shaping Jhankriti's visual identity. My role encompassed the entire design spectrum, from crafting a memorable logo to designing all the printed materials like brochures and posters. I even took responsibility for the website's design and the creation of engaging social media posts. In essence, I was tasked with bringing Jhankriti's spirit to life through visual storytelling.

Designing for a Young Audience While Preserving Classical Roots

I crafted a distinct visual personality that resonated with Jhankriti's spirit of promoting and celebrating classical artistry. "Jhankriti," meaning "creation of resonance" in Sanskrit (Jhan - resonance, Kriti - creation), embodies the event's spirit. Rich colors, use of Devnagiri script combined with English, and a blend of traditional and contemporary aesthetics reflect the essence of carrying forward the legacy of classical arts. The incorporation of a vibrant yellow circle in the logo symbolizes the rising sun – a traditional metaphor for the emergence and brilliance of young artists.
